Has your right hand chainstay got a 'flattened' bit on it to clear the chainrings?

I've got a Ridgeback Dualtrack Quest (which is essentially by the same designer, from the same factory) and appear to have a feature such as this. Just want reassurance that it is 'factory' and not damage as the frame was off ebay.

Got a Core 40, no flat bit I'm afraid! There's a good 5mm clearance between my 44t and the chainstay - can't see a need for 'reshaping'
Are you sure they are the same? Mine's a 2010 by the way

I have a 2011 core 30 and I don't think it has a flat bit but will check tomorrow for you

Also if its newer than 2011 then the frame may have changed as the designer James Olsen left and is now designing the pinnacle bikes

My Ridgeback has the exact same chainstays, seatstays and strengthening gussets as this: similar.
And a flattened bit, in exactly the same place...
