I need some welding done, a contact had offered but is now unable.

It's prob 2' of weld, 1.5mm 6061 to 3mm 6082. Can send in a box in a jig, with beer/whatever payment.

Cheers

Could try Mike at BML. Pretty sure there is some welded aluminium on the Cotic Rocket so he should have the right kit.

I know a guy who can do it, but I don't think I can offer on his behalf!

Although judging by his last aluminium foreigner its not a good advertisement. It's a bit of a biplane for a senior manager and it's cracked to buggery, I asked before the welding was started what type of Alu it was (I'm a metallurgist) and he described it as "quality weldable aluminium"! So at least you're one step ahead of that!

Does it have to be welded? You can silver solder aluminium with the right flux and a propane torch....and some practice 😉
