I would run the Eliminator on the rear with the Hillbilly on the front

Running that combo on a couple of ours but 29

Looks interesting. Currently running Minions front and rear but they are a crazy price these days.

hillbilly is draggy AF compared to the minion. i lose at least 1 lap of teh local hill if i run them on teh EEB (i kid you not - its amazing/scary)

non of teh above listed are similar to a minion in terms of feel. you could go butcher front if they are doing them cheap but Spec tyres are defo not as grippy as Maxxis equivalents. not sure why as i believe they are made in teh same factory? i used to use spec tyres all the time but ran minions on my big bike as grip/feel is more important on that bike.

I`m quite impressed by the perfomance compound schwalbes nobby nics i bought recently for my old 26er.

tyres are quite important though so you might prefer just to pay for a decent minion.

If you’re running minions now you’ll lose some grip / burly ness with your suggestions. They’re much lighter / less aggressive tyres.

Front:

On the front the Specialized butcher is probably the most similar to the DHF but at a lower cost - try to find the new grid trail T9 version. Probably as good in the dry but might lose a touch of outright grip in the wet.

Vitoria Mazza also similar to the DHF but I’ve not found those at a good price.

Michelin Wild Enduro 2.4” is decent. Better in the wet than the DHF but faster rolling than something like a Hillbilly. I think in 27.5” they’re cheaper than a DHF (29er ones are very hard to come by) - go for the Gum-X version.

Magic Mary also a decent DHF alternative - little bit slower rolling but more wet weather performance.

Rear:

On the rear it’s hard to find a better allrounder than a Maxxis DHR2 in my opinion. The 2.3” one rolls ok but also copes with most mud. The 2.4” one is a lot harder to pedal round on as the knobs are bigger / draggier but it finds ace traction in the slop. On the rear you can get away with the cheaper dual compound rather than the 3c variant.

I’d avoid the Eliminator tbh - it’s terrible on wet / greasy surfaces. I think the Specialized Purgatory is a better option but I’ve not used one in anger.

Hans Dampf is probably Soecialized’s equivalent to the Dhr2. It’s not as good but it’s ok.

I haven’t bothered trying any other all weather rear tyres as I just default to Dhr2.
