Seems there are a few options to attach stuff to the fork legs. Looks ok to me - any fans on here?
If you're interested in that sort of thing, check out the Gorilla Cage too.

I've yet to be in a position where I've had so much luggage that fork mounting it seemed attractive.
I've used them for winter expedition use e.g. Keeping your fuel stove well away from anything else in case it leaks. But avoid putting too much weight up front as it can destabilise the steering / accentuate 'flop' which isn't good in soft snow. Blackburn Outland cages also do a similar job for less money, used with an Alpkit heavy duty drybag.
Is the weight better or worse than on the bars?
I’ve only used them on the ‘normal’ bottle boss positions.
They are the perfect size to hold a Jetboil so I use one for that, in a dry bag with a few emergency coffee sachets & the other usually holds my tarp rolled up around pegs/guy lines.
If I’m doing that I carry water in a Camelbak.
Might be tempted to put water in them if I ever do a trip somewhere hot and dry.
I got a set of these - seem to do the job nicely.

I've got the gorilla cages.
Rock steady, hold a 5l dry bag.
I've only used it for soft light stuff.
Used them lots on Salsa rigid forks
Avoid the MK1 version as they crack at the welds.
The MK2 version is fine. The ABS plastic version is rock solid.
I use mine for stuff like sleeping mat , sleeping bag. Stuff that is volume more than weight.
I carry water on the other leg in a bottle cage plus a velcro strap
The bike buddy ones are V robust, swapping out the spring tensions for some small bungees mages the even more useful
