Just got my forks back from fishers, no issues but they phoned me mid service & asked what travel it was set at?
My forks are an import 1.5 steerer 2010 U-turn Rev's with 140mm travel unlike all the UK ones which were 150mm (& non 1.5 steerers) - no doubt they were a cancelled EO order. The techie asked if they sat @ the 140 mark or @ 150mm as he said they'd rebuilt to 150mm. I said 140 but wouldnt complain if they came back as 150's.. He said that they had to be returned as they came (fair enough), & they've returned as 140's. So my obvious question is... What would they have done to take em down that 10mm? I have tried phoning the techie back a couple times with no success.
Any thoughts?
As I mean to move them onto another frame which would appreciate that bit of extra travel from them
There's a spacer in there to reduce the travel by 10mm.
Dead easy to remove.
Moved some spacers around. It's that simple.
I assumed you wouldn't get the all travel spacers with u-turn forks?
