As the title really, 14yo is keen to hone the skills (albeit mainly jumps) and wondered if anyone had been to any courses in the North of England. Llandeglla is doable if need be.

Cheers

Elliot and Lewis Heap's coaching business. I've stumbled across them a few times on a ride and they seem like really nice blokes who know their stuff!

Elliot Heap does coaching days, I did one with a group of pals a few years back and he was good, think we all took something from it.

Might connect more with a 14 year old with him being a young un himself https://ridemtbcoaching.co.uk/

You live in the North you should know better. It’s big, it stretches a long way. Throw us a frickin bone. I assume you’re not driving from Newcastle to Llandegla (mutters something about The Watford Gap).

Not been on a course there myself but they look like they know what they're doing.

Inside so not weather dependent, great setup , pump track and air bag are also a good laugh.

Only a temporary venue though, sadly closing at the end of Jan

I'd also add that if its jumps and drops you are after its also worth considering a trip to Hertfordshire at some point. Its a long way but not many people have a facility like Tony.

Thinking about, maybe its worth thinking about it that way.

Hebden with Chris for some Calderdale Tech, A-Line for Wharncliffe or Grenoside and Uk Bike skills because nobody else has a facility with such carefully inbuilt progression (Tonys ok too for a suverner 😉 ).

Karen van Meerbeeck coaches from the Yorkshire Cycle Hub near Danby on the North York's Moors. Don't know exactly what coaching you want only that she is obviously a mountain bike legend and some of the kids in my kids class love her sessions.

I guess ask and see whether she can provide what you need.
