I've got Hope X2s at the moment, 180 rear and 203 front (with a new set of Lyriks). The fork upgrade is for a summer 6 week trip to Spain and the Alps. Last time I rode there, particularly in bike parks, I found my set up mostly OK (BLT2 with Pikes at the time) but wasnt totally sure about the braking. No boiling issue, but often ended up braking with 2 fingers due to arm pump partly as a result of underpowered brakes (....and obviously in part due to underpowered forearms and fingers, I know!)
I'm thinking about M4s, maybe just for the front and possibly just for this trip (the fork's probably coming off after too).
Does that seem sensible? Or why not just go for bigger calipers and a small weight increase. I dont want to turn my Blur into some sort of Frankenstein creation, but does it hurt to be over-biked really?
