Got a few hours to kill near Loughborough uni tomorrow, going to take my bike are there any trails nearby?
Swithland Woods just the other side of Woodhouse Eaves is ok or Thringstone Woods is even better. A few us will be meeting up there 6.30 tomorrow night if that's any good to you...

no mountains and very few hills, the campus "freeride" used to be the best... not sure how many flights of steps are left now

Thringstone is about 6 road miles from L'boro towards Ashy and hard to find if you don't know it.
Bridleway off Valley Road towards Woodhouse Eaves is your best bet - Beacon Hill/Swithland Woods are the best that area has to offer. A local showing the area would be your best bet but we're all in work! If you can be arsed I would head that way - 10-12 miles all in.

Had a couple of hours in the woods some decent singletrack in there, crossed the road at the bottom and headed into the woods that said private no parking 😆
Found a couple of old dirt jump spots which was a bonus, also found lots of dog shit too Grrrrrr 👿
