Hi chaps

I have just bought a Kona Lava Dome frame for my next project but i'm a tad confused about it.

The frame has sliding dropouts but every other lava dome i have looked at doesn't seem to have them.

Are there any Kona experts here that can clear up the confusion.

Seller says the frame is early 2000's but i think its a bit later than that.

Pics of the frame

Explosif or unit with geared dropouts,

Although could be an import lava dome but doubt it.

100% all Original Kona.

Thanks for the replies.

Just been doing a bit of googling and came across another lava dome that the guy describes as 2005 with sliding dropouts..

Wonder if it is an import - certainly not many around

This is the pic i found on retrobike - frame seems exactly the same.

Looks very similar to the 2005 explosif I used to have, brilliant bike and high on the list of bikes I wish I never sold.

I've seen one of those, a friend had one, about 2005, steel Lava Dome, sliding dropouts, grey paint.
