Fancy guiding myself and a couple of club mates (cyclone MTB Woburn) around for a few hours this Saturday morning before we head upto St Martha's to pick up the South downs link.
We are heading down to Brighton over two days and really fancy seeing a bit of what the North downs has to offer before we head South.
I grew up in Peaslake but my riding was in the late 80's to early 90's before moving away and i can imagine the trails have changed quite considerably around the area since i last rode them on my Ridgeback 602LX!.
Of course a complimentary cup of tea and cheese straw will be supplied from Peaslake stores and a return favour if you would like to sample the trails at Woburn anytime!.
We are aiming to be outside Peaslake stores for 10-10.30am 🙂
You know this is on right?

Redstart drop me a mail (address in profile). I would prefer to meet a bit earlier but would be able to oblige from say 9.30 am onwards. If not 10am is doeable.
call in at nirvana cycles and ask simon.
Looks like the route goes through Winterfold Wood so as long as you're Hurtwood or East you probably won't even know they're there. You know this is on right?London to Brighton Off-Road Bike Ride 2012
downslink to brighton might be busy though.
Plus it won't go anywhere near to good trails as they are all unofficial.
Peaslake these days, Saturday mornings... will be crammed with bikes (and Audis 😉 )
Plenty of trails though, probably many are what used to be there plus a shed load more, minus a few others.
North downs - you know Ranmore?
Thanks for the reply guys, i was not aware of the charity ride going on to be honest and hopefully it will not affect us to much.
Thanks geetee, i'll pop you an email.....
deadkenny - Well aware of the Audi brigade mate, started happening in Peaslake in the late 80's believe it or not when the yuppie boom exploded 😉
Still thats progress i guess...and to think my brother and his mates were riding track bikes all over the Hurtwood in the late 70's & 80's and had no idea they could have been mountain bike pioneers!
I'm not that familiar with Ranmore to be honest
