Just done a day of "food diary" and surprised to see i have a 2900 calorie limit (12.5 stone/6 ft1/34 years old/male) and have used 98% of that!
I have ridden for 1 hr and used approx 600 Extra calories but drank around a litre of high5 so that negates this extra "allowance"

So on a healthy eating limited snack day (not hungry though) i cannot cut down on my intake without being hungry 🙁

food/drink for the day:

Does lager stop you being hungry?

Energy drink for a 1 hour ride?

Being hungry isn't bad...

Normally consume around 2-2200 cals per day. If I'm cutting for a comp it's around 1500

you don't mention your height but i'm about 12.25 stone, 5"10'. and i see no reason to cut down on my intake! it's not my idea of overweight, though i have taken to going gym to get some of the fat turned into muscle 😉

although i'm perhaps not your archetypal cycling athlete 😉

I'm about the same age and weight and I'd be surprised if I average any less than that, though I've never counted properly (I do look at the calories and protein on whatever I'm buying for lunch so I'm not starving within a few hours). Just checked some numbers and it seems that my idea of a bowl of cereal in the morning is almost 1000 calories. However I don't spend all day sitting at a desk.

Gawd knows how many calories I ate today:

Tea * 2 cw milk/sugar
3 pieces of Warburtons fruit loaf, toasted with butter and marmalade
Latte cw sugar
Cafe - Bumper Breakfast Bap - Sausage, Tomatoes, Bacon, White Bap
Cafe - Tea cw milk/sugar
Cafe - Large flapjack
99 ice cream with 2 99's
1.5l of water with 3 energy tablets
Cereal snack bar
Bag of Walkers crisps
Fish and Chips, three pieces of white bread and 1 pint full cream milk
Pint of Pedegree

But I did manage 47 miles MTBing in the Chilterns - and I must have used it all up, as I'm hungery NOW! 👿

OP: What are you using to get the nutrional breakdown, is it a site?

We had a weekend riding in wales recently and it worked out we were using about 4000 cals/day which help justify double dinners lol
