rebuilding a rear SDH hadley hub. Got all the necessary parts from north west MTB centre, cleaned everything put everything back as you should (checked sicklines article just to be sure) and popped in the new axle.
The issue im having is that when i tighten up the axle only to the point where it takes up any play in the freehub, the freehub drags like nobodys business, if i then put 1/4 turn more it almost seizes. i have tried slackening the axle off to the point where the freehub is just tight enough to have no play but when i then put it into the frame and tighten up the thu bolt, same thing happens - does not spin freely. Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong??
I'm not familiar with that particular hub, but if it was a Hope, it would be because you'd missed the washer that goes on the axle before the freehub does.
