Hi guys

Moved down to Eastleigh a couple of years ago and bored of riding on my own.

If anyone rides gravel (but also mtb and road) and want to meet up for a ride then give me a shout.

Cheers

J

Hampshire gravel riders have a Facebook page. They ride about three times a week plus they also piggy back onto the Woods Cyclery rides.

Twyford flyers ride from the bugle in Twyford every week, I think they're on Facebook

A couple of riders that I'm not aware of being on here but I know of on Strava around that area are Craig Bunyan and Barry Lynham, they've been knocking out long gravel rides for fun in recent months.

Barry at least was in Woods Cyclery club.

I'm Kings Worthy and pretty strictly on the mtb side of things - but it's not like you can get anywhere around here without riding at least some gravel and double track!

Just put it in the Hampshire thread for you!

I'm a bit further North West in Hampshire, but might be someone in there who's local!

Last time I was in Eastleigh, it was to go to Martine's. *shudders*

My fatbike is currently a Dodo, but your closest "proper hill" might well be https://www.strava.com/segments/18157112 if you are near Eastleigh, in terms of a climb more suitable for gravel/MTB.

This can be easily linked to the Featherbed/Warren Lane gravel climb off Longwood Lane to get to up near Cheesefoot Head.

But in fairness, a lot of the lanes between Owslebury and South Harting blur the lines on which bike to use, a very rare exception would be the butter smooth tarmac I've yet to ride this year on Longwood Dean Lane just down the incline from The Milburys pub.

Thanks all.

I have messaged both the Hampshire Gravel riders and also the Twyford Flyers.

Hoping to join both at some point.

If there are any other people out there close to Eastleigh who want to meet up for a ride then drop me a line.

Thanks

Jay
