Off for the next week to Dorset with my better half, wondered what's out there ? XC type stuff or just nice scenic rides would be great, otherwise I'll be plotting on the os map again.

Hopefully you'll get some people from Weymouth come on with advice, but there's a few who go out that way on Thursday nights, IIRC. Think they do Charmouth woods, etc.
Otherwise, drop into Mud Sweat n' Gears, in Weymouth for some hints. There's a few routes around Portesham, Martinstown, Abbotsbury, much of it hilly xc.
