Am i reading that correctly that the head angle becomes steeper through sag?
Yeah ok sag on front fork but none on rear. 64 degrees is s..l..a..c..k..
Hardtail head angles do get steeper when sagged. That's why BTR are onto something with ridiculously raked out hardtails, once sagged they are equivalent to a reasonably slack full susser.
But a 470mm reach in large, is kind of GT Sanction, Giant Reign etc territory.
Have a look at the Strive Race geometry here and let me know what my prize is...

Or perhaps the Process 153...

Remember a hardtail's reach gets longer as it sags too.
I'll take a look.
The Vendetta takes 2.8 tyres too if needed. Short stays etc..
Reads like itll be a blast. The Hex which is their full-susser has longer stays.
The Process seems pretty close.
Lapierre Zesty AM is looking close.

FS bikes are good at different things though.
They're typically quicker over rough ground so benefit from a bit more length. Where a hardtail suits smoother riding, a bit slower (at its limits) with the emphasis on playfullness/fun, so short chainstay suit them.
That and packageing constraints mean you simply cant build an FS that short without comprimising on axle path. So it's always a trade off somewhere.
I really want a Vendetta 29er.
I have my Hex frame for sale at an amazing bargain price! Here and Pinkbike if anyone is interested! Ta
