I've just bought a pair of L/XL Launch Pro kneepads and i'm finding them quite tight (6' 2" & chunky).

I'm curious to hear if they stretch / give any after a few rides or if I've bought another expensive ornament to hang in the shed?

Cheers

I've had a couple of pairs for years (they do last well). I think they've got a bit baggier but it may not have been an immediate thing.

I have chunky legs for a small-ish guy, and there's not much room to move in my L/XL ones. I can see that for proper big units they may just be too small.

Pretty much exactly what chakaping says, except I only have one pair.

At 5'7" and 70kg, ok 72kg since Christmas, there's no way I'm a L/XL but that is the size that fit me.

I found knee pad sizing very variable and went through a few options before finding some that fit reasonably well.

Decided the fox launch pro were pricey and not the best fit for me - the Ion k-pact zip were tiny sizing for any given size and I also couldn’t get a good fit.

Found Scott Grenade Evo’s were the best ones for me - they actually had room for someone with calves.

Cheers for the help folks. I guess I need to try again, shame as I like the pad.

If anyone wants a pair of worn once (+ washed) L/XL for £35 posted drop me a line  (payed £40 +£5 p&p in the Evans sale)

Cheers

You got those very cheap if they were the ones I tried - think they were £110 when I looked (but didn’t actually purchase).

I’d try the Scott ones I went for - assuming you want something fairly heavy duty that you can still pedal round in no bother.

The Ions were possibly better made - but had he wrong ratio of size from calf to upper leg for me:

Tomfun- I found Tredz had a good selection so I ordered both the Ions and the Scott's from them in 2 sizes of each.

I tried lbs’ but none had any of the pads I was after or could get them in.
