Any forum members gonna be in Keswick next weekend over the Bank Hol? with a bike Obvs.
I'm fancying giving Skiddaw and Ullock pike a go and it would likely be in the evening of 1 of 4 nights, will try and pick the best night for weather so as to get a clear summit and good visibility on the ascent. So it would on the night of 22/24/25 or 26th, Thursday to Sunday basically.
Sunset will be about 8.30pm so ideally I'd like to off the mountain by 9 at the very latest. Allowing a generous 3hrs to ascend and an hour to descend, means we'd have to leave Keswick at approx 4.30ish. I've got a spare bit round my middle so racing snakes need not apply. lol.
I've done Skiddaw before so know what's in store but I've never done the Ullock Pike descent. If you wanna join me send me a message.
I could also be talked into Walla Crag to Watlendath to Keswick for a shorter ride too.
