We're off to Anglesey and we're going to do some biking in North Wales but I wondered if there was anywhere on the island itself that is not to be missed? Amazing views, great downhills etc?
I found Parys Mountain on Strava but is there anything else that that I should take a look at?

Thanks in advance

Newborough is pretty special if you have a fat bike.....

Newborough looks like fun. I also got told that the forest there has a few trails running through it?
Nice video!

I think I've ridden Newborough forest before, I seem to remember it being OK for a pootle but not overly challenging. Things may have changed as it's probably 5 or more years since I was there.

Newborough Forest is very much still pootle territory. I’ve lived on the island for 2 years now and I’ve never bothered riding the mountain bike on Anglesey, even though Parys Mountain is just up the road from me. Plenty of great road riding though.

Copper Trail, some nice scenic lanes to explore.
If you YouTube Anglesey MTB racing I think it brings up some old quarry trails...
I think this is the one...

And another

Many thanks everyone. We will be travelling to Cod-y-Brenin for a whole day, but these all look good for a cheeky blast before the kids are up.

For early morning bike jaunts around Anglesey I have ended up doing road rides. The road riding is really good.

Newborough forest is good for running, not really for mountain biking, although quite fun on the short sandy, rolling, twisty bits of the coastal path.

ps. CYB is actually quite a long way from Anglesey.

Last time I was on the island we took gravel bikes and did 40 odd km from Rhosneigr in a loop on some nice quiet roads and mixed tracks.
