Trek Crossrip if you can find one. Superb bikes for the money. They start at £850 though and are mostly out of stock with Trek until the 2014 stuff comes out. I've ridden two and I rate them very highly indeed.

Think the low end pinnacle arkrose is around that money - the top end one is great!
