Looking to place an order and was just curious if anybody had one? Real world reviews on it.

Didn’t Chipps have one? He definitely wrote about one a few years ago.

I quite fancy an AM9 or the 275 version but with a shorter seat tube and slacker head angle.

Didn’t someone on here have an AM9 but got them to switch out some of the tubing for the XC tubes for more compliance?

I've got an XC9 in the new raw finish and still haven't built it up. Gary will tweak the designs to suit you.

Where are you based OP?

A mate has a AM9, and very nice it is too.

one thing though, the raw clearcoat finish will get hairline rust in places, including cable guides. if you're OK with that, fine, but don't expect not to want to re-powdercoat after a couple of years.

There is a warning on the site about it, but we didn't think it woud only take I think about 18 months to become noticable.

I’ve got the new smoked clearcoat. Had bike since Aug22 and only in last month or so have seen some spider-rust appearing. The smoke clearcoat means not as noticeable and is a darker color than rust color. So lest rust like in appearance. As said above, you’re well warned and for now I’m not bothered by it. Knew it was likely. For me a big ‘want’ for getting a Curtis was to see the brazing, almost a shame to paint over it.

Shredder, sure you’ll be well happy with it. I’d suggest telephone calls to Gary best bet to check on progress. One man in a shed is my impression so as he’s builder and painter, and everything else, admin and customer contact maybe not top of the list.
