Just noticed this on my 4 ride old Giant Anthem.....
I cant make out if it is a scratch or a crack. I am thinking the worst as it is not a fluent mark and appears to have little lines joining the main line.....

It doesn't look as though it would be an area of any major stress (top tube) and I definitely haven't come off or dropped it....

Not sure whether anyone has had any dealings with Giant warranty? Could really do without the potential bun fight!!
Really is a fantastic bike, and I am glad I went down the 650B XC route for this year

any (constructive) opinions would be most appreciated!

many thanks all!

I don't seem to be able to upload my pictures?? can anyone help please?
Its a bad day!!

You have to host them online somewhere like Photobucket or similar and then get the IMG code and paste it in the box,
You don't need to use the IMG tab at the top generally..

If the bike's 4 rides from brand new, get it to the shop and don't poke about at all as you may invalidate the warranty

(not where you clamp a workstand, is it ?)

cheers Scaredypants!

Chakaping its the best I can do with my camera I'm afraid. Its a bright yellow so the flash keeps reflecting and then you cant see any detail...

(not where you clamp a workstand, is it ?) It may well be although I don't own one and I never noticed it before...

I agree, get it back to the store. Its possible that whoever put the bike together for you used a workstand and did the damage.

That would be a strange place to get a crack , you should be able to flex the tube with your thumbs and feel if there is a crack there but my guess would be a scratch . If not 100% certain I would take it back to the shop and let them have a look at it .
