I'd like to get a set of carbon bars to replace some lead-heavy alu ones on my bike. I seem to remember there always being some sort of stonking deal available for decent carbon bars, but having spent most of the morning checking the usual places, it seems that carbon bars have returned to near full price everywhere.

Anyone seen any good deals? They'd be for a big-ish bloke on a big-ish bike, although said bloke rides said bike like a fairy.

Cheers!

K

I've got a set of Mt Zoom low risers in the shed I don't need.  £30.

Edit, I just noted the big bloke big bike bit, these will be a bit too XC for you.

Nukeproof ones pop in and out of CRs deals. Mine were about 55 quid and, err, they haven't broken. So I like them. I'm not very princess/pea though.

RSP Carbon bars at High on Bikes seem good value, I'm considering the flat bar but wondering whether to try something with a higher degree of sweep for my rigid bike.

My Carbon RSP Ego bars mentioned above  have been good-I would of thought hard to beat value wise at £55 or £50 if Tredz give you a £5 off voucher code.

The RSP Carbons are defo an option - I've got them on my El Chulo. Just checked back and I only paid £30 for that bar 18 months ago.

I'll maybe hang off and wait for a deal to come along, cheapskate that I am 🙂
