As above.. looking to swap out the stock springs that came on my Sektor RL DPC 2012...I'm bottoming out on the slightest drop off...not surprisingly as I'm a hefty 110kg!
So, which spring would be best for my weight and how easy are they to replace?
Ta
Anybody?
X Firm would be the correct rate for you, we may have one inn stock depending on travel if not we'll be able to get hold of one 😀
I weigh 110kg and got sektor s dpc from loco. Xfirm was great for me
I got an X Firm from bikediscount.de (sorry LoCo!)
Was the only place that had them in stock at the time.
Dead easy job. Took 10 minutes to do.
I was in exactly the same position. I have a set of Sektor DPC's 120-150 2012.
I was also finding the spring to soft (I'm about 88kg), and had a couple of over the bar moments as the suspension was prone to bottoming out on steep stuff and tucking the front under.
I looked everywhere for a blue (firm) spring, and was told that nobody had them, and unlikely to get any more, so I had a fairly useless pair of forks. I ended up buying a set of 2013 Revs from Merlin to replace them, the air spring allowing me to sort the fork for my weight.
I've still got the forks and will use them on another bike if I ever get hold of a blue spring.
Sorry to ramble on, I guess that you should be looking at a black (x-firm) spring. TF Tuned or Loco would be a starrting point.
They're asey to fit, lots of online guides.
Good luck.
Loco - no blue springs in by chance?
Got a 150mm fixed blue in stock, just restarting router and computer as broadband playing up, will check dp ones in a mo 😀
crossing fingers, not holding out much hope....
150 Xfirms available, Firms out of stock but should be available soon ish
Shall I'll drop you a line in a few weeks. I definitely want one, happy to pay up front now if required mate?
Cheers
Thanks for the replies guys. How much for an xfirm 150 dpc loco?

Any body point me in the direction of a guide?

It's the same procedure for DPC and fixed length springs.
