Have test rode a large trc and whilst only a short blast it felt fine and measures up very similar to my Pace 405. I also had a longer ride on a Tra which for some reason felt smaller.
I'm 6 2" with 34" inseam.
Any xl owners care to comment on how the xl rides etc

I'd trust your own instincts to a large degree- at that height I'd usually suggest an XL - but it sounds like you've been running a similar size bike (to the Large) for a while. We've got a Large TRc demo (actually mine and advertised for sale as I'm going for a Solo) that you're welcome to try. I know that Jungle have an XL Solo which we may be able to borrow sometime for you to try for size/a ride - similar bikes.

I'm 6'3 with 34' inseam and the XL is a good fit for me. The long top tube allows you to run a really short stem and this suits the handling of this bike. My previous bike was a large blur LTc and the top tube felt too short so I had to run it with a 90mm stem. For me the bigger frame with a shorter stem feels much better.
