Bit of help needed please folks. We could do with some advice on getting broadband sorted for the world's media at the TweedLove Enduro World Series in May. BT just don't seem to even vaguely understand what we need (and boy have we tried to explain) - which is a temporary network with enough bandwidth for Singletrack, Dirt, Pink and all the others to send their pics and vids out around the world at the EWS expo village in Peebles. Anyone got any contacts or suggestions?

For a temporary network would it be worth considering checking 4G coverage.

I got 60 Mbps in some areas and that's on a standard phone, a bonded line of 3 or four might be useful even if you had slower speeds.

Alternatively have you checked what other internet providers are in the local area that you could approach to provide coverage?

Got a mate called Bob who lives in Kirkliston who is an absoloute whizz with Comms and this sort of stuff, I'm not to shabby myself but I bow to the master. I'll give him a buzz to see if he's interested

I'd imagine you'd need a company that specializes in Events - a quick google came back with this company which has an office in Glasgow, might be worth giving them a call :

Thanks - a few things to follow up on. The annoying thing is there's an Open Reach exchange with BT Infinity about 400m from the site, but it's not proving easy to speak to anyone at Open Reach or BT about it.

It may be one of the specialised event people above have a contract with BT to cover things like this.

Openworld aren't the best at doing things away from the ordinary from my experience with them.
