Looks to be the right sort of mileage I like and within 30 mins driving of my house but..... is it any good?

Not bad... Apart from Wolfscote Dale which is a footpath and folks get very grumpy if you ride it...
Probably a better ride if you head over to Middleton by Youlgreave/Bakewell area.
