Was all set to get the EDC threadless tool carrier for my bike but as my bike has a short tube tube and 25mm of headset spacers, according to the fitment guide the carrier will not work.
says I need 220mm total stack and mine is around 215mm. How annoying!
any alternative tool stash type gadgets out there?
Depends what you want to carry, but I've a Swat Conceal tool in the classifieds that might suit. Checked the total length and it's 210mm with the bolt screwed right in. Might just need a 5mm spacer above stem to give enough clearance to tension the headset properly.

Is that specific to your fork? One with an oval steerer or something? I ask because I'm pretty sure some of my forks with a threaded type EDC tool are shorter than that and if it is because of your specific fork it may effect the answers you get (or make some of the answers null and void)
Granite do a multitool and a ratchet tool that will be short enough (150-250mm)
I've got the Granite Stash RT and it's a nice bit of kit. Not sure what the measurements are though.

The steerer tube on one of my bikes is 200mm long and the EDC threadless tool works fine on that.
I've also got the threaded version working fine in a much shorter steerer.
For the thread less, you can increase the effective length of your steerer with a spacer on top of the stem. If you are only 5mm off then a 10mm spacer above the stem may work.
They also say it doesn't work on the oval steerer of the 38. Me and my file say it does fit. 0.2mm off front/back and job's a good 'un!
Just get the EDC pump and mount it under your bottle cage.
I used to do that and it was a disaster. Tools corroded really badly. Eventually lost it anyway. Got a replacement and that lives in my hip-pack. Even then i've had corrosion issues.
For my road and gravel bike, I just use the 1up pump with the tools stashed inside it. I've never had any problem with corrosion and whilst I do mount it to a frame on my gravel bike on my road bike it just sits in my jersey pocket

it’s a Pike. When I say it it in the OneUp fit guide it says it needs to be 220mm from bottom of fork to top of spacer. I’m measuring around 215mm to the spacer above my stem.
the lite would work if I just wanted a mini tool and found some other places to start putting other bits!
Will look in to the above stuff. I know trek do their own version too.
