Fed up of shredding the sidewalls on my standard Advantage, do any other manufacturers have their own versions for less money? Want 26x2.25ish with an intermediate tread pattern. and approx 750grams if I can, but not massively fussy about weight. Cheers for any help.

Spesh SX casing (won't be 750g tho, can't imagine EXOs are that light either)

You might like to look at the 2.25 Onza Ibex Am. Great compound makes it very grippy over wet rocks and roots and plenty of tread for any condition. Nice rolling too. I'd suggest the 60TPI version for slightly more robust sidewalls but I use the lighter 120TPI version of the front where it takes less of a beating. Evans are the only UK stockists.

I have just bought one of these Onza's today and hope it does the trick. IBEX FR 2.25

120 tpi version came in at 680g [sticker weight was 695g] and a 57-559 size showing a voluminous carcass - which is what I was after ....

Fingers crossed !

The standard Specialized 2Bliss Control tyres are no where near as thick as the Maxxis EXO's.

I use both (for different things obviously).

Maybe the SX casing, but they will be a fair bit heavier than the EXO, if that's important to you or not.

2.4 Snakeskin Nics are pretty tough

Not that heavy either for such a steamroller tyre

Combine with a 2.4 Ralph on the back for an enduro-tastic setup
