Shelled out on a thread-together BB from Wheels Manufacturing to hopefully get rid of a squeaky BB. Is there any trick to avoid spending another 25 quid on the spanner which fits it?

I used the Park BBT-29 - a wee bit cheaper at about £20. Much cheaper and a more sensible installation process than the Hope approach to achieve the same goal though.

Ah right, didn't realise that was the same one. Cheers. Does the other end of that do the 'new' Shimano external threaded size?

Aye - it does the XTR/Dura Ace size (rather than XT/Ultegra) from memory.

Basically the Wheels Mfg one uses the FSA Megaexo pattern, so another tool may be available specifically for that for less?

Cheap here though.
