Hi, Iv bought a second hand Levo Turbo Comp 2020. It’s going to the bike shop this week to investigate an issue - the bike turns on fine and when it’s running I get no issues, but when I leave it standing for several hours completely clean and dry (no moisture in the connector) it won’t turn back on unless I open and close the connector door. I have changed the battery in the TCU but don’t think that was the issue - but I have read in lots of areas that the cable can be an issue but I just can’t work out if it really is that - it’s as if it automatically times out after so many hours and opening and closing the connector door re- engages it. Has anyone else had this problem?

2021 Levo owner. Mine does the exact same thing. It was fine until that fateful day I decided to wash it....with a bucket of water and sponge, no hoses. Never been the same since. Often takes several turns of opening and closing the door.
Thanks Beagle boy for the reply. Im due to take the bike to LBS next week to get the cable changed to see if that works - its going to cost me £130.
Do you have any problems when it is running or you are out on a trail or is it only when its rested for a while like mine?
Last weekend we stopped on the trail for a blether and talked for so long that my bike switched itself off out of boredom....I mean battery saving...... then the bugger wouldn't switch back on again. First time I've had that issue out on a ride.
I sometimes wonder though if I'm actually pushing the button for too long out of frustration? Do you hold the button down till the lights come on? Are you supposed to just do a quick push then wait 2-3 secs?
I rode down out of the woods and just before the long road slog home, I quickly pushed the button, lo and behold it powered up fine. I then rode home, shoved it into the corner of shame in my garage and very pointedly started rebuilding the rear hub on my Orange Four, in full view of the e-bike so that it knew it wasn't indispensable. Every few minutes I'd go over and do a quick press of the power button and it came on unfailingly.
Don't know if there's a fault in the bike at the charging port, the TCU, or if it's just my fat fingers, but it certainly started after that time I gave it a good wash.

Will do! I have read in a lot of places that changing the cable sorts the issue out. Fingers crossed
interesting, I have a 2020 Levo SL, no issues like that, so far, though i only ride it very occasionally.
What cable are they changing ?
Don't think it applies to the SL but it's worth while keeping an eye on the TCU battery if its not been changed

I might try that on mine, as I've had my bike for well over 3 yrs now.
i changed the TCU battery last year Craig, bike was about 3 yrs old at that stage and it was giving the low battery error flash codes with blue and red bars
Im guessing you have checked and cleaned the Rosenburger plug (its magnetic) and the battery connection?
Also worth removing the plug from the motor and checking the connections in both
The 2020 Levo comes with a round cable with a black sheath cable tied on to help stop water ingress etc.. and it needs to be bent to fit in the small space and cause problems like this over time
The newer cable is a flat one which is meant to improve things
Cables can fail but also the conductor points in the Rosenberger connector can fail to make good contact. Check that they are totally clean, and that the main power connectors are free to move as I thing they are slightly spring loaded.
Yes, not had that problem but only ever cleaned engine with a damp cloth, cable failed after about 3.5 years (worked perfectly, put away then wouldn’t switch on at all, tiny flicker of 1 blue led but nothing else happened) so cable replaced, I now clean the plug in area with cotton buds every so often and the dealer suggested taking small plastic side cover off and cleaning/drying in there as well.
* I think there was a hole underneath (*poss in the plastic cover )that I seem to remember allowing access to some uncovered wiring, I taped this over a bit, in a sort of overlap style with the intent of allowing water to drip out but not splash in through the hole , ***vague memory)
Also check the cable entry point hole on your swing arm, mine has a sharp edge so I added some rubber seal round the edge to protect the cable.
