I used to ride a 2007 Trance and changed it for a 2009 Antherm X3 which I like riding but have always found very nervous to ride and have always felt I should have gone for a Trance X. Has any one riden both and if so would I find a Trance X more stable to ride or could I put a slight long handle bar stem on to try make to steering less nervous. Most of my riding is the North Downs , South downs and kent.

I have ridden both, I prefer my trance but I didn't really notice much difference

giants work well with a longer fork. i have revelation's on my X, i know a few people who used pikes or 140 fox's on their trance's.

As above really, 120mm bolt thru forks on my Anthem X, along with a short stem and wide bars...It's quite simply awesome, love it

+1 Mike

My Anthem X finally got 120mm Rebas with a 70mm stem - not very wide bars though as I have fairly narrow shoulders -

I've not ridden an Anthem but my 2009 Trance X is a great all rounder especially since I put Pikes on it. I've heard Anthems are really good but I'm not sure I would trust one as much as my Trance when things get very steep and techy downhill. I'd imagine the Trance's geometry would make it less twitchy than the Anthem although the Anthem would be lighter and faster on xc. Depends what sort of riding you do I suppose.
