Considering buying an Anthem X3.

Sat on one a while back, think I need a size L but I realy would like to test ride one first.

Anyone know any shops that have any Anthem Xs in stock,in size L that I can try,in the Herts or London area?

Tried Cycle Surgery but they have no Anthems left in size L.

I Tried to get an Anthem X frame about a two months ago. The only available size left was an XS, ended up buying a Cube. I'd imagine thats the same for complete bikes but you never know. Good luck looking.

Yes I looked at frame option too,but they sold out a while back.

Basically what I am thinking of doing is buying an X3 and transferring the kit over from my hardtail, and then selling the redundant bits. This way I reckon I get the frame for £600ish, and I end up with a fairly reasonably spec

d like to check with a test ride first.

We just sent a large X1 demo bike back to Giant, pity. Giant have now sold out of all their large Anthem bikes. New bikes will be launched in the next month so might be worth holding out for those. I had a try of the large bike, having previously tested medium bikes. I am 185cm and found the medium pretty comfy but the large gave a bit more room and permitted a shorter stem which I decided was probably best for my height and riding.

How much more will the 20101s be?
Any idea on price for the 2010 X3 or frame only?

Dealer show is in a few weeks so until then your guess is as good as mine. Unfortunateyl I fear that the prices may creep up a bit given current trends.

How tall are you and what top tube length do you ride?

6ft,and currently ride a medium 19" 2006 Giant XTC,which has an effective TT of 585mm.(23")Nice and chuckable but front gets light when climbing, and have the saddle pushed a long way back to get the right reach.
What size Anthem do you reckon?

I am a mite taller and also run a 19" XTC 2006 but with a 110mm stem. I had a long weekend on an Anthem Advanced last year with the same 595mm top tube as the 18" Anthem X. This was fitted with a 100mm stem and went really nicely. My erring toward the large size is based on it not looking too much like a gate and being able to use an 80mm stem without losing reach. Unfortunately we both sit between the two sizes but I reckon that the large will be the way to go if you tend to do longer rides.

I always have this problem with bike fit.
Giant need to a M/L as they do on their road bikes!
Think I would prefer a L with a short stem than a medium with a long stem too.
