Hi,

I've bought a whole new set of pivot bearings for my anthem x. Has anyone fitted these themselves, or is it a shop job? Any experience gratefully received.

Cheers

I did mine myself, took a while and a lot of different sized sockets to drift the bearings in and out but wasn't that hard if you've done hub bearings before.

yep, done hub bearings, usually using a hammer and the old bearing as a drift.

Is it just a hammer and socket job with the anthem bearings? Any tips?

Giant sell a Maestro bearing tool for removal and installation for about £70-80 - might be a worthwhile investment.

No tips as such, it's one of those jobs you take your time doing and end up supporting bits of your bike in odd ways while clouting it with a hammer.
The old bearings do come in handy as drifts for the new ones tho
