Sat on , but didn't get chance to ride , an Anthem 29er at the weekend and am unsure on which size would be best . I'm 5'7.5" with a 30" inside leg and was advised by the shop that a small would be best. When sitting on it it felt short and had a lot of seat post showing so I tried the medium. This felt spot on reach wise but I had next to no stand over clearance. I'm looking for a bit of advice from similar sized riders and what size you went for. I know a ride would be best but the weather stopped that at the weekend .

Cheers

I'd go for fit rather than stand over clearance.

Never understood standover clearance,I want to ride a bike not scoot along on it...
Anyway,I went for the same size I would buy if it was a 26" wheeled bike, did the same when I bought the inbred as well, both fit the same as the smaller wheeled versions....

Yep stand-over clearance is only relevant on kids bikes, buy the one that fits you (medium).

I'm 5'8, 30" leg & ride medium Giants.
I've had smalls, but mediums fit better.
