Thinking about buying some 120/130mm forks for my Anthem. It currently has 2012 Fox 32 Evo which are OK, but they lack the suppleness of the rear end and small bump compliance. They also seem to loose travel and stiffen up when given some hammer over bumpy stuff. I am not up on fork hierarchies within manufacturers so any help would be appreciated. Ideally would like something that doesn't flex quite as much, dive in braking and is smooth over the small stuff. Will be looking second hand if possible £150-300 ish

Rockshox Reba would be my first look, with a 15mm axle (but check if your front wheel can be converted). Checking the rebound setting on what you've got could be a cheap fix though! It sounds like it might be slow at the moment.

I put 120mm SID RCT3's on my 09 anthem back in 2012..
Big improvement over the fox forks, extra 20mm is much better.

Only downside I noticed is the front end becomes light grinding up steep climbs..

Front wheel is already on a 15mm axle so that should be fine. I have tried different rebound settings but 1 click less seems like a pogo stick and 1 click more is like they have treacle for oil. The rebound adjust is about 8 clicks in.

Is the Reba more adjustable and supple over the small stuff?

That does sound like there's something wrong. Even so, it'd probably cost about as much to service them than to get a 'new' pair.

I've never actually tried the fox evos in anger so I don't really know about the suppleness but probably, yes, just from being 3 or 4 years newer. You could always get some kashima fox 32 in that budget if you're looking for proper smooth stuff. As for being more adjustable , the RLT version of the Reba has a threshold adjustment so you can change how much force is needed to blow through the lock-out.
