Hi,

Just after a bit of help please.

I have developed some play on my upper pivot arm bearing where it passes through the lower seat tube.

Will I need to replace all the suspension bearings or will I get away with just that specific one ?

Is this a difficult job or will it need to go to my LBS?

Cheers Paul

You might as well do the lot, it's a relatively simple task of you're mechanically minded and have the correct bearing removal / insertion tools.

If you're not confident, take it to the LBS

Anthems are prone to eating the top shock bushing which results in a bit of rattle if you hold by the saddle vertically. Easy and cheap job to fix, don't normally eat bearing too quickly in my experience.

Like blazin saddles says, I'd be inclined to check the top shock bush too, whilst it's going to be in bits and probably replace that with a du, hula hoop type one , from the likes of BETD . If you are DIY get their little press tool whilst you are at it, make the job much simpler, they don't wear very fast and are real cheap to replace once done first time round.
My Trance ate it's original bearings relatively quickly, but I replaced them with new from Katec bearings and they are still fine some 4500 miles on.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am surprised how quickly they have worn to be honest.
The Anthem is only 14 months old with around 1000 miles on the clock, hopefully fitting better quality bearings should do the trick.
