Looking for some tyres for winter commute/occasional trail bike. 29er Scandal full rigid singlespeed. My ardent 2.4 front is trying to kill me so I'm after a tyre that performs well in the mud but has a decent volume, I know it's a bit of an oxymoron but what do the massiv think. Commute is mix of a fairly muddy section, canal towpath, road and trans pennine trail. I have some beavers on my full sus 29er but at 2.0 I think they are going to be a bit small. Nobby Nic's 2.35?. Anybody running beaver 2.3's. Love the 2.0's but have read that the larger volume ones aren't as good. Thanks in advance

I've just put some Schwalbe Rocket Rons 2.1" on my Singular Swift rigid SS. Seemed OK in the relative dry when I last rode a couple of weeks ago. Yet to try them in the wet but I have high hopes. They also come in a wider 2.25".
