Not been cycling much for a few years for reasons but ready to jump back in now. I notice I've left my bike in storage with flat tyres so the Hans Dampfs are likely ruined. Always been happy with them but fancy a change.
Orange 5, 26" so a bit limited on options. Will mostly be doing Cwmcarn, Afan, Brechfa and maybe the odd day at BPW. I'm 75kg soaking wet. I'm thinking Hans Dampf rear, Magic Mary front. Both Addix Soft but I'm stuck on whether to go for Super Trail or Super Gravity. Is the extra protection worth the weight penalty?
You will ptobably find the price of tyres has doubled since you last bought one.
Although I have my favourite tyres I usually buy what ever is on sale. It's sods law that the tyres I want are full rrp,

Is there any signs of damage? Are you running tubes or tubeless?

Pretty safe choice. I'd try pumping up the ones you have. If they look ok and hold air, try one of them as a back tyre and see how it goes.
@damascus pretty much, but I was prepared for that due to car tyres having gone up like mad too.
Decent prices on one of the German sites with free delivery (albeit around a week).
Hans Dampf/Magic Mary in Super Trail £35.37 each
Or in Super Gravity it's £41.57 for the HD and £54.36 for the MM
I don't mind spending the extra for the SG version if it's worth the extra £ and grams
Forgot to mention, running tubeless. They lost pressure overnight and are pretty flat now (sealant has been in there forever though).

Is there any sealant left? It's usually dried out after being left flat for a while. If there's none left, try topping it up, pump up til the bead pops and see if it stays up.
Does the German site have a minimum spend for postage to the UK?
Take a look at Specialized tyres, usually half the price of their Maxxis / Schwalbe equivalents and just as good.
@damascus it's £75 for free delivery so if I went for the Super Trail I'd just top it up with a water bottle or socks or whatever. The existing Hans Dampfs are fairly worn now so probably not a bad thing to replace them anyway/keep as spares if salvageable.
I'd go Trail front, Gravity rear but it depends how hard you ride. And Specialized tyres are ok but not great and will be at least £40 each unless there in the sale.
Mary and Dampf is what I have. Probably just go trail as I’ve got a gravity up front which is far more than I need.
fathomer, chestrockwell... thanks both but just a moment before you posted I managed to get both tyres in Gravity for about £84 total after a lot of scouring ebay. Will see how I get on with those.
They will be ace, just a bit hefty.
Good choice keypulse
