I was very, very wary of opening this thread after the last one with a similar title..... 😉
I like it but wouldn't go out of my way to talk to the rider.

29er- Wrong
Belt Drive- Wrong
Lefty- Wrong
CB pedals- Wrong
Rohloff-ROFLOL
Couple of fat tyres, and you'd cover every niche
Straight tubes and rigid forks it would be nice, but it'll do 😉
Ticks a few boxes, but fails in some. Bent tubes and EBB are a big no for me.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhtitanium 29er Lefty belt drive Rohloff.
every part is a self indulgent fashion- over-function choice and all unecessarily expensive, plus it looks ridiculous with half a fork.
it looks mingin but get rid of the rohloff, the bottle cages, the pedals and scribble over the red bits with black marker and I'll give you £250 for it.
"sobs uncontrollably cos can't see piccy"
"wahhhh, whahhhhhhhhhhh"

plus it looks ridiculous with half a fork.
I say your car looks ridiculous with half a hub too.
could fancy a blast on it to see how it rides >>joins queue >> but still wouldnt buy one like that. beauty is in the eye of the whatsit.
that thing is hideous, looks like someone melted it in a microwave.
Too much red anodized bling on the Van Nicholas, blue would have been bling yet less in ya face
Hmmm, I have to ask, what is that semi melted thing I am beholding then wobbem?
Oooooh, melty blue bike is ace 8)
Everything about that Van Nic ticks my boxes. I already own an Amazon and considered a VN before I bought my El Mariachi 29er. Belt drive/IGH I "get". Even the Lefty doesn't put me off.
Why then does it look crap? There's something not quite right about that seat tube and the seat stays. It looks very unbalanced somehow.
I only listen to people bad mouthing a rohloff after they have used one extensively 😉
Finally I get to see the VN.
Me likeee..
And funnily enough me likeee the melty blue thing too..

Wait a minute, me likeeee even more if the melty blue thing was a SS.
😆 ing at Mick.
'Hoff's are a bit shit though. 😉
The melty blue thing's a Wolfhound BTW.
That top one is lovely!
Ditch the pedals, of course, and you have an awesome mile munching mud-plugger, ideal for the lovely UK weather!
I like it. A lot.
What cranks are those?
I like it. A lot.
Things have changed round here this last couple of years. 😆
I'll take it with a rigid fork.
You knows nowt stu 😉
Van Nics are available in Halfords ergo it's gash 😉
melty blue wolfhound is nice
The van nic at he top of the thread is pure fashion victim material. Belt drive, in mud - really? That just does not work. That build is trying too hard to be different and in doing so has become utterly pointless. Buying that says the rider thinks way more about their bike than riding
edit - arse, I didn't see who started this thread!
Belt drive, in mud - really? That just does not work.
Mine does. That's one of the reasons for doing it, no chain lube to wash off.
mmmmmmmm melty blue thing (want) 😀
say what now?mainmonkeyking - Member
...Belt drive, in mud - really? That just does not work...
is that wolfhound melty because someone stuck it on a hot wash trying to shrink a 29er frame for a 4'9" rider? 🙂
The only thing I'd change on the VN (gasps) but its an omission rather than inclusion are the bottle cages. They are just a bit toooooo biiiig. It would look far sweeter if they were the old style roadie thin tube ones. Sure you can get them in tit.
So, who rides a melty blue thing on here then? Would love to know how it rides.

utter pish

^^^ Just needs a proper "Jones stylee" spaceframe fork to tick all the niches 😉
Just waiting for my frames snapped thread. 😈
Blue one is loverly however.
A mate of mine has one of those Wolfhounds, great looking frame. Even better now he's had the seat stay repaired after if snapped. 😉
