Thought I'd start a NBD thread, although technically that was yesterday, but I was too busy to post anything....

Orbea M20, bought just because my tiny legs can't keep up with my mates on ebikes.... It arrived yesterday, but is soon (over the next two days) going to become significantly more like my Occam as I swap bits over.....

Nice. Unless it is cockpit preferences, I'd think twice before swapping bits over.

I thought the same when I got my ebike, as my main FS has far better bits on but, in the main the better bits are just lighter than those on the ebike.

All it would effectively do is make my main bike too heavy and spoil it, whilst the ebike would perhaps shave a couple of kilos off a monster truck - which isn't felt with a motor anyway.

As long as the ebike is functional for the riding you want to do, I'd not bother swapping bits.

And be careful if you do switch wheels and brakes, as the ebike may have sensors built in for speed feedback.

Almost there, but run out of time until tomorrow. Just the rear brake to go. Sensor is on the rotor so that swapped straight over. Didnt want to sell the carbon bars, stem etc . So they have gone over, I'll sell the new orbea bits though.

Not sure if I'll sell my wheels and buy new ones (hope pro5's) or not... Will see what they are like on the first ride.

I'd second what Twonks has said. I got a Whyte e180s and was originally going to swap the lower end components over with the higher end carbon bars, wheels and x0 drivetrain from my trail bike but to be honest the ebike doesn't need it and the heavier stuff on there is more functional and gets a hammering anyway.
The only thing I upgraded was the shite SRAM code R brakes.

Well I've swapped it all over now 😜 not sure if a very wet ride tomorrow should be a suitable christening.....

First ride today at FoD, well ebikes are cirtainly a different sport, lots of fun..... FoD was slippy and very, very wet and im not sure id have had as much fun on a regular bike on the climbs. Torrential rain midway through the day didnt put a dampener on things.

I'm gonna change my cassette down to a 44t as I didn't put it in the bottom two gears at all I think - easier to flick up a mode.

Lovely frame colour to go with those subtle rim decals, by subtle I mean a brick through the window at 4am with a distress flare and a firework taped to it.😀

Yeah - rims were left overs from two bikes a go.... Still undecided what wheels to go with, but they'll get replaced at some point, or more likely decals sanded back and hubs replaced...
