Today I saw a rather nice 4k+ build five making its way down the street,I'm going to feel quite bad when I'm put in my place pretty soon, although I do have to ask,has anyone lost a black five, orange decals, stans flow ex,fox kashima coated and matching orange grips, quite distinctive,if it's yours then I am sorry,I just thought it looked out of place,if it's yours and has been nicked,I've seen it so get in touch.

I checked that thread straight away jay as I remembered it from this morning,if I saw two fives like the ones in the ad I probably wouldn't have noticed, but this one I saw just looked like someone had hand picked it like it was a limited edition.

I live in the same locality Rick and have seen similar sights but one incident was quite enlightening. A few years ago I saw two blokes on brand new Whytes a 146 and a T120s. To say they suited those bikes is an understatement so I stopped as a fellow cyclist and had a chat . They insisted they had bought both bikes from the LBS and were planning on riding to Scotland. Seemed bizarre but a few months later I mentioned it to one of the lads at said shop who confirmed their story. He told me the two chaps had come in looking for a test ride to which his response was put £5k in my hand and you can to which they then responded by giving him £5k and taking a spin round the car park and then buying the bikes. He even told me that both had been picked up by the Police and brought to the shop to confirm their story as well. So as they say never judge the book ........

I was in the process of buying a Whyte in Manchester about 12 yrs ago and the salesman told me about the high end bikes they sold to the local drug dealers. Stop them for a chat, ask the price of a quarter, then you will know it is not stolen.

The lad riding it looked well to do really,I think the problem with these situations is that it's unusual to se such a custom ride on its way to the shop, maybe because I'm to paranoid to ride my bike in built up areas in case some scrote seed it and follows me home........you get the picture.
Thanks for the reply.
