This time by a taxi pulling out a side road almost hitting me
As usual ive reported it and uploaded the footage to the Hampshire snap website
Taxi had a lady in the back holding a new born/very young baby! (which is allowed in a Taxi)
Now as ive reported to the Hampshire snap should i just leave it at that or should i report it to the taxi company and the council the taxi is registered to? (ive got the taxi's licence number)
If i did the above and they asked for the footage etc.. would that affect any outcome from reporting the incident to the snap website?
I presume once the police view the footage they will contact the registered keeper (the taxi firm) so they will have to tell the police who the driver is and the taxi firm can also decide what they want to do about the driver (if anything at all)
My tactic now when it's an employer is to call the boss and ask them if they've ever had to call an employee's family to tell them one of their staff was killed at work today. It gets their attention. I'm not aggressive about it, just matter of fact.
Then i explain that my boss may have had to do that if their employee had been a fraction closer to me. Then I suggest they might want to get some education for their staff, etc. I've only ever had good responses.
I really like reeksys approach.
A mate reported a ridiculous near miss on his commute yesterday morning with Derbyshires video reporting site - within 3 hours he'd got an email back saying the driver was getting a warning.
I posted on a skip haulage Facebook page. the lorry was anonymous but ridiculously aggressive to me as I was driving behind an elderly couple on bikes on a busy road. Whilst the lorry was not marked, ALL skips are (competitive business with assets out to the public), so once he'd finally blown a gasket and gone off on another road, I simply noted the name on the skip and did a search.
Driver was reprimanded and I had a public apology.
Not posted videos but a family member has secured dozens of convictions.
