See that little crescent-shaped shard ?

That's a carbon fibre - all modern titanium frames are carbon fibre. That's why they break.

Looks like it's spread from a hot spot where the weld was. 😆

Aye, I was wondering if it might be that, every time I try and get on the bike it hits me right in the face.

That's what you get for attempting to get a laterally compliant but vertically stiff frame...........looks custom too..........

Not to blow my own trumpet, but I work in Optical Foresnsics. I'd have to see the frame in the metal to be sure, but from your photo, it looks like you have unbalanced ears - your left ear is both larger and slightly higher than the right. Probably hairy as well.

In layman's terms, Dumbo, you've fed unsupportable stresses into the main body of the frame which has caused a crystalisation issue at a molecular level at the area of maximum auricular moment close to the bridge of your nose. Your specs have probably been on the verge of fracturing catastrophically for months now. To be brutal, you're fortunate to still have both ears intact.

For your next frame, go custom steel or think about ear reduction surgery.

Sorry, you can dismiss it as a fad or an attempt by the mags to get us to buy more stuff. But I have never had that happen with contact lenses.

You can't run lenses that thick with that frame, a breakage there was inevitable, and you will have voided the warranty

My second oakley spike titanium glasses have just broken in the same place as last....out of warranty of course and the best Oakley can do is 40% off a new pair at their retail price......works out more expensive than the discount stores even with discount!!!
