If the lever returns no problem does my reverb need bleeding?

The post doesn't work currently, the post has real difficulty going down and struggles to return. As I have never bled it I thought it could do with one but many of the how-to-bleed videos seem to suggest bleed when the lever doesn't return. Having read around the forum it looks like it may be a bushing issue rather than hydraulic? I have tried air pressure, that didn't work.

Cheers in advance.

How old is it & how much use has it had?
Think of it similar to a suspension fork-it needs servicing or it'll go wrong.

Thanks. It's a couple of years old. I bled it. No difference. I'd best send it off to be serviced.
