Yep, just heard that Basecamp Bikes in Grantown on Spey was broken into some time last night. Don't know the details of what was taken yet. After Laggan getting done over just a couple of weeks ago too!

There was also a theft of a Land Rover and agricultural trailer from Kingussie. There's a suggestion that the two cases might be linked.

(the Landie and trailer have already been recovered)

That really sucks. Where the hell do such high end bikes go? Shipped abroad? If they’re priced as too good to be true, do less scrupulous buyers turn a blind eye? Anyway, the scrotes need a good shoeing.

Did the shop owners have to track them down or did the police actually find time to do their job?

Slightly daft question perhaps but if it is the same group, will they also be hit with fines for travelling out with their local authorities as well?

A daft question but given what they have been doing, it wouldn't do any harm to add everything else they have done to the charge sheet and hopefully get more to stick to act as a better deterrent.

Basecamp and Laggan are the same LA so you're assuming they're from outwith Highland Region? Ae would be different of course.

Nope. Just charged with the house breaking element and the breach of covid rules is seen as an aggrivation of the original offence.
My understanding is that when it comes to sentencing for the more serious offence the breach of covid rules is taken into consideration.

I’m pretty sure that’s the case but not 100%
