I have just clicked buy on a charge cooker 24 frame and fork for my eldest, which I will of course have to now build up.

What ended up being the STW recommended (price vs weight) choice for sprog bike 24" rims and tyres? Don't think I can stretch to stans...

Rocket Rons come in 24" and are tubeless friendly, and see capable enough.
My previous recommendation was to phone Islabike up and ask for a Creig 24 wheelset but apparently they've started asking for proof that you have a Creig...
Was this the one on eBay recently? I did look at it but I'm probably a couple of years away from needing it for my lad yet so it'd be sat in the garage for an age.

It's going to be mostly a spares bin build, I spent last night looking at 24" wheels and rims.
I've already got some cranks for shortening.
Tru-build wheels off ebay might be a starter, cheap, and I can rebuild the rear with a spare hope hub I've got might be a bit heavy, or else there's a few places flogging airnimal 24" rims which are under 500g and reasonably priced.
Rocket Ron's you reckon? I was toying with SB8s but doubt they'll be much cop in the mud, and she doesn't mind getting muddy...
How about 2.1" blackjacks? Tread looks a bit more aggressive, but how well do they roll? For a tenner an end I assume they wouldn't play well with tubeless either (wire bead?)...
