Had my Fork crowns & Trek Session 8 bolts anodized this week by a nice guy on Pink Bike ..Cheap..
He polish them to a chrome finish then anodizes them
This lot cost £50 (return postage included)

& on bike,great finish & fast turn around 12-14 days depending how busy of course

Lovely bit of work. I've given up trying to get a response out of Steve Barry at acorn plating so would be very interested in this chaps details.

They look like ti to me - quite a washed out colour. Alu is usually more vivid.

Steve at Acorn did a great job, guessing he's probably snowed under with work then.

I could never get Steve to answer an email. However, looking on pinkbike, this guy appears to be showing the same pics as Steve. I wonder if he's doing the prep work and then sending them down to Acorn.

Bars could be a bad idea, you need to remove the old anodising and therefore some material from the bar.

New bars are not so expensive that it would be worth it imo

Looks like a decent finish, i doubt he will quote finish in microns though, this isnt aerospace.....
