Ok bought some Pikes with this kit already installed.

Going to send the forks off to Jtech soon for a full service.

I don't know much about this damper. Was it somehow shimmed for rider weight or anything when fitted by Jtech? I do know that I am a heavier rider then the forks original owner so wondered if it could be/ needs "adjusting" for my weight? To be honest, the fork seems fine in performance and I'm probably over thinking this.Lol

Also.... can I still spec the Debonair air spring to be fitted as I'm guessing that's totally independent of the Andreani?

Thanks guys, I'm not much of a fork guru!

I tick most of these boxes, I think:

Heavy rider (15stone-ish)
Pikes
Works done by J-Tech
Took their recommendation on the Andreani upgrate...

I'm very happy with my forks now, I can't say they feel magically different, and I'm nowhere close to good enough to know what specifically the piston kit upgrade made, but J-Tech came highly recommended and the fella I spoke to reckoned it was worth the extra spend.

I bit, can't say I regret it tbh and would do the exact same thing again.

J-Tech are good, I'd take their advice on bike suspension over a random punter on a forum (mine included!)

So a fair few years ago now I had the Andreani piston kit installed to my pikes by Sprung. There were two options as I remember it. One for trail riding and one for aggressive enduro style riding. Nothing to do with weight. It was a great upgrade at the time transformed my pike into something amazing.

My S/H lyriks have the piston fitted, they are way better that my other stock lyriks on H/T.

Can you still get the piston kit? Don't see it advertised the same.

Talk to James @ jtech about it he’ll know what ‘bracket’ you fit into & adjust as necessary 🙂
