I like how he's clearly borrowed that bike off someone about a foot shorter than him!

I'm not sure either, but he's not staring at his stem.

If you zoom in, it says Porte down his ribs.

It's Richie Porte, Froome's right hand man from the tour.

He looks a bit out of shape frankly, I wasn't convinced. But it does look like him and he's Tazmanian, which fits with the op's location.

yep it was he was in a team for the local 6hr race, nice guy out (or at least back at the coffee shop next to where the missus works) most mornings over winter on the pinarello.

If he's fat then I'm obese!! 🙂

I know what you mean though, he's not at tour weight.

It's his legs too, no definition. Considering you can normally see every sinew!

Isn't it recommended behaviour in the off season? Relaxing the regimen I mean.

Noob! 😆

Nice to see Porte having some down time which is very much deserved! Shame he happens to dress like a MAMIL though 🙂

In the northern hemisphere the port is the left side, maybe it's the opposite in the Southern Hemisphere, a bit like whether the water runs clockwise or anticlockwise down your plug hole.

I guess it must be difficult to maintain 4% body fat all year!and probably needs the extra energy when training, so maybe the to pork up a bit when off season.

I saw a wee fella out in full sky kit the other day, chuckled about Mamils, and then realised he was shifting and it was JTL. Turns out he lives a couple of miles away.

Probably getting his last few rides in before they ask for it all back.

I think it says starboard on the other side though.

If it does then he's put his jersey on back to front.

🙂

You can get a Pukka Pies jersey somewhere - thought I might get one, it'd be the closest I'll ever get to being 'sponsored'. (Shame the payments are all going the wrong way mind..)! 😆

Anyway, leave that Ritchie Portly alone..

A lot of atheletes yo yo their weight and condition. I stood behind Christine Ohurugu in a queue for a hotdog once. When some chap said to her half jokingly "should you be eating that" she quipped - "I've just started my off season".

I quite liked the idea until I got murdered on a club ride this morning. :-/
