I saw this fellow at Pines this morning, and loved the mismatch between bloke and bike. I was hoping to see him at the bike park area, but alas not.
I wonder how he ended up with such a beast - DH enthusiast? Gumtree? Borrowed from grandson?
Reminds me of my 84 year old Dad who still occasionally wears my old Pantera beanie on cold days.

Have you ever been in a bike shop while some MTB-mad employee in his 20s is dealing with an only mildly enthusiastic middle-aged customer? 😉
That’s not a DH bike, just one of Specializeds less than stellar ideas for a trail bike from a while ago

Yup, just a Spec Enduro of old with the E150 triple clamp fork (130-160mm adjustable). When it used to be a trail bike, not a long travel Gnaduro machine..
It does appear to be in size XXXXL though..

I hope that someone is taking sneaky pics of me and my mismatched bike when I’m his age..
The fork was a good fork, stiff, plush and light. A little too linear, but that’s it. Otherwise - it was a good piece of kit for the time. Only challenge I had was leaving fit in 100mm climbing mode when I went down some steep and tricky rock gardens.
I hope the bloke has fun.
I don't see a mismatch. In my opinion people should bike what they want.

Even if it's clearly the wrong size?
